3.In 2006, Alaka Sharma of the AGP party was the winner with 55104 votes and defeated Madan Kalita of INC who secured 40489 votes.
4.In 2011 Election Jayanta Malla Baruah of INC became winner by securing 39896 votes and Alaka Sarma of AGP became the runner up with 31673 votes.
