BOKO: A police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kalyan Kumar Pathak seized 13,200 kg rice from Jorsimuli village under Chayygaon Police station in Kamrup district on Wednesday night. Based on information, police launched a search operation in Abdul Kalam's house in Jorsimuli village and found 13,200 kg rice, two stitching machines and one weight machine. Abdul Kalam managed to flee. Police suspect that the rice was meant for free distribution under NFSA and Abdul had stocked the rice in his house to sell in the black market.
