Dhemaji All Assam Students Union (AASU) helps needy families

LAKHIMPUR: Responding to the call of the central committee of All Assam Students Union (AASU), the Dhemaji district unit of the organization has pitched in to help the lockdown-hit needy families of the district by distributing relief items among them.

As a part of such initiatives, the Chilapothar regional unit of the organization, under the management of the Dhemaji district body, distributed essential food items among 200 needy families living at Maduri Pothar, Bijaypur and Borpothar areas under Malinipur Gaon Panchayat on Sunday.

Dhemaji AASU president Dipak Sarmah, general secretary Kalyan Gogoi along with other dignitaries of the district committee and Chilapothar regional committee were present in the programme.
