Guwahati: Essay on Srimanta Sankaradeva by Assam scholar is now part of Harvard course material. An essay by Sanjib Kumar Borkakoti, a Nagaon-based industrial economist is now part of Department of Religion's course material at Harvard University. The essay titled Unique features of Srimanta Sankaradeva's religious philosophy Vivaratanvâda: Comparison with other Sanâtana Hindu philosophies was uploaded in his blog a decade ago. "But I found out last week when the university uploaded a part of the treatise as Religion S-1010 probably because of pandemic-related online dissemination of course," the scholar told media.
For a fact, early this year the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Assam Pradesh organized a youth parliament programme at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati. Over 2,000 delegates of BJYM from across the State were present at the programme and special guests included Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Bharatiya Janata Party State president Ranjeet Kumar Dass and North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma.
