BONGAIGAON: One person died and two were injured in a road mishap on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Mukul Sarkar (20), son of Ananta Sarkar, a resident of Barsangaon area under Bongaigaon PS, while the two injured are Pramod Barman (20) and Prasanta Barman (21), both from Jelkajhar area under Bongaigaon PS. As per sources, all three were on a Honda bike bearing registration no AS-19-N-2735 and it hit a roadside tree. The villagers nearby, hearing the sound of collision, came out and took them all to the hospital where Mukul was declared dead. Pramod is seriously injured while Prasanta sustained minor injury. Police have registered a case and started inquiry, said sources.
