Rs 1.5 Lakh fake currency seized in Nagaon, One Arrested

Guwahati: Today on 18^th February at about 11 am on the basis of a secret information regarding dealing of counterfeit currency an operation was launched by Nagaon police led by John Das, APS, DySP DSB Nagaon, CI(W) Someshwar Kownar and TSI Kundan Ravi Das, intercepted one vehicle bearing registration No AR 01 K 8916 at SBI Nagaon Point.

On being search the police team recovered 1.5 Lakh counterfeit currency from the possession of one Jakarul Islam Khan, S/O=Lt Fakaruddin, Village =Laluk, PS=Laluk, District =Lakhimpur.

A case is being registered.
