Two more suspected PDCKL Cadres arrested based on revelation by "in custody" Cadres

Guwahati: Last night, acting on the information disclosed by the already arrested two cadres of People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCKL) (namely Clarbong Teron and Jirsong Hanse forwarded to judicial custody,) a search operation was launched at Langbongkroi under Dokmoka PS along with APRG team and Team No 15 of E/210 CRPF COBRA and in the morning hours another two another cadres of PDCKL were apprehended.

The apprehended PDCKL cadres were identified as Armung Terang alias Cling Terang, age 25 years, S/O Sri Riso Terang, R/O Chandra Athoi, PS Anjokpani and Longkam Dera alias Mohen Fangso, age 21 years, S/O Sri Bubul Fangso, PS Dokmoka.

The security forces also recovered a .22 pistol along with 04 ammunition from their possession.

It may be mentioned that Armung Terang is an SS Lance Corporal and Longkam Dera is PT( Private trainer, rank not conferred yet) of PDCKL.

Earlier, PDCKL cadres namely Clarbong Teron and Jirsong Hanse were apprehended by local people of Virvar Sai Teron gaon in Karbi Anglong when they came to collect extortion money there.

One money receipt book and 18 pads of PDCKL were recovered from their possession.

Both of them were reported to be the close aides of David Mukrang. The duo sustained injuries as local people assaulted them. A case was also registered and further investigation is on.
