4 People including One Jawan killed in IED Blast by Naxals in Chhattisgarh

Guwahati: Chhattisgarh is burning in Naxalite violence and frequent updates of violence created by the Maoists are making news these days. The very recent is on Thursday only when Naxals blew up a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) vehicle and subsequently, killed four people including a jawan.

As per the police reports, the Naxals triggered an IED blast on a bus near Bacheli in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada. The blast occurred when the jawans were returning to their camp after buying groceries from the market. Of the police personnel present in the site of the blast, two are critically injured and one is dead. Other three victims were civilians including the driver and conductor of the bus and cleaner.

The jawan killed in the IED blast belonged to a CISF unit and was posted at the site for the first phase of the forthcoming polls in the state.

Another violent incident that took place in the Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh was just a few days back when a Doordarshan cameraman was killed.

Chhattisgarh is to undergo Assembly Polls next week in two phases. The first phase of polls is scheduled on November 12 and the second phase is on November 20.
