Guwahati: Sabarimala temple opened on Monday for two days or the “Chitira Atta Thirunal” puja, and right then happened the hazard when a 52-yr-old woman, Lalitha from Thrissur, met with an injury due to the abrupt attack of the protesters.

As reports states, the woman, Lalitha was surrounded by protesters at Sannidhanam while she was trying to enter into the temple. The protesters thought that she is not above 50 years of age as only women aging more than 50 years are allowed to enter inside.

The woman stated that she had come to the temple for her grandchild's 'choroonu' (first rice-feeding ceremony) at the Pamba Ganapathy Temple. The police had cleared her entry inside the temple after checking her ID card.

But the protesters realized their fault later when they could find that she is aging more than 50 years, the devotees themselves are ready to provide security for her to visit the temple. However, an injured Lalitha is now admitted at Sannidhanam hospital for her injuries, but she still wants to visit the temple.
