Bollywood: Emraan Hashmi’s 'Awarapan 2' Trailer Released Today for Audience

Guwahati: Today, the official trailer of ‘Awarapan 2’ has been released, offering audiences their first full look at Emraan Hashmi's return as Shivam Pandit, nearly two decades after the original film earned cult status. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Films, the sequel is set for a worldwide theatrical release on  14th August.

The trailer introduces a darker and more intense chapter in Shivam Pandit's journey. The movie’s plot follows his resurrection at a Buddhist monastery as he struggles to balance redemption, love and a reluctant return to the criminal underworld. The makers describe the sequel as a tale of vengeance, sacrifice and consequences.

Joining Hashmi is Disha Patani, who plays the action-packed role of Zara, while veteran actor Shabana Azmi portrays the antagonist, Nafisa. The supporting cast includes Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar.

Music continues to be a defining feature of the franchise, with compositions by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad. Written by Bilal Siddiqui, Awarapan 2 is presented by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films, with Pen Marudhar handling its all-India theatrical distribution.
