Guwahati Police Recovered Arms and Ammunition From a woman in Fancy Bazar

Guwahati: Today, a team of Guwahati Police have recovered live ammunition along with a firearm magazine during a targeted operation conducted in the Fancy Bazar area of the city.

After the raid, police  registered a case (No. 577/26) at Dispur Police Station to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Sources confirmed that the ammunition and magazine were seized directly from a woman present at the location.

During preliminary questioning by the police officers, the suspect claimed that she possessed a valid permit and adequate licensing documentation for the magazine. Police are currently verifying these claims alongside assessing the legitimacy of the documents provided.

 An active investigation remains underway as police work to determine the origin of the ammunition, ensure full compliance with firearm licensing regulations, and ascertain whether any further security risks are associated with the case.
