Mutilated Body of BSF Jawan recovered near Laupani Railway Tracks in Nagaon

Kampur: In a tragic incident, a mutilated body of Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was recovered near the Laupani Railway tracks of Kampur area under Nagaon District in the early hours on Thursday.

The deceased BSF jawan was identified as Anil Kumar, suspected to be a resident of Kerela.

Based on the identity card, it has also come to light that the jawan is a constable driver at the 181 battalion Border Security Force.

Meanwhile, Government Railway Police (GRP) is suspecting that the jawan might have died after falling off a running train on Wednesday night.

A thorough investigation has been conducted by the GRP officials. Furthermore, the body of the deceased BSF jawan was sent for post mortem.

The Border Security Force (BSF) is a Border Guarding Force of India. Established on December 1, 1965, it is a paramilitary force charged with guarding India's land border during peacetime and preventing transnational crime. It is a Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs. It is one of the law enforcement agencies in India. It currently stands as the world's largest border guarding force.

It is also to be noted that the Border Security Force is dedicated for the security of Border of India as well as protection of border population. BSF is the largest Border Guarding Force in the world.
