PM Modi to Address IIT Delhi Convocation, Inaugurate AI Supercomputing Facility

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 57th convocation ceremony of IIT Delhi on Saturday, where more than 3,000 graduating students, including 587 PhD scholars, will receive their degrees.

During the ceremony, Modi will confer some of IIT Delhi's highest academic honours on meritorious students, including the President's Gold Medal, Director's Gold Medal, Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal and Perfect Ten Gold Medals.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility at IIT Delhi's Sonipat campus. The advanced facility is expected to strengthen the institute's capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, high-performance computing and interdisciplinary research.

In a social media post ahead of the event, Modi said IIT Delhi has made significant contributions to research and innovation. He said he was looking forward to interacting with the students and faculty of the premier institution.

The new computing facility is expected to provide researchers and students with enhanced computational resources for advanced research and innovation across multiple disciplines.
