Speeding Bolero rams five motorbikes parked street side in Jayanagar, Guwahati

Guwahati: In an incident that took place in Jayanagar, Guwahati on Friday night, a speeding Mahindra Bolero rammed on another vehicle. Following this, in a bid to escape the scene, the Bolero hits five other motorbikes that were parked by the street side. The incident took place near Beltola with the speeding Bolero coming from Beltola towards Jayanagar.

The vehicle that was first hit by the Bolero is a Ford Figo after which, according to the eyewitnesses, the Bolero tried to escape in a haste. But in that attempt, the Bolero hits another 5 motorbikes which were parked near the spot.

The Mahindra Bolero bears registration number AS 01 BJ 4849.

As stated by locals, the person in the driving seat seemed to be under alcohol intoxication. People also added that the vehicle belongs to an “influential person” for which police have “taken the driver to safety”.

Police is also alleged to have taken a bribe and let the accused go without taking any action on him.
