Woman allegedly pushed off a running train in Biswanath, Police suspect planned murder

Biswanath: In major development to the body recovery incident of a woman in Biswanath today morning at Haidabari’s Shiyalmari village, Police based on a preliminary investigation suspected it to be a case of murder.

As per reports, the deceased woman identified as Purnima Nazary was returning back home from Gohpur via train on September 2, 2019 after collecting a cash amount of Rs 20,000 from her father who is presently posted at Arunachal Pradesh.

Police during the investigation also recovered a mobile phone through which they contacted the family members of the deceased. Upon verification, it has come to light that the lady was reported missing since September 2 after she boarded a train from Gohpur.

The deceased Purnima Narzary is a resident of Balichang’s Chamduli near Assam- Arunachal Pradesh border.

Speaking before the media, police sources informed that as per their preliminary investigation it has been suspected that the miscreants might have pushed off a moving train and eloped taking away the net Rs 20,000 from her possession.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased Purnima Narzary has been sent for post mortem.

The incident had triggered sensation in the entire region.

Further police investigation is on.

A body of unidentified woman was recovered under mysterious condition at Haidabari’s Shiyalmari village under Biswanath District on Thursday morning.

Local people upon spotting the woman immediately informed the matter to the Biswanath police.

A mobile handset was also recovered in the spot.

Speaking before the media, local people claimed it to be a case of murder.

Meanwhile, Biswanath police had reached the spot and conducting an investigation in connection to the matter.

Further police investigation is on.
