
DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh celebrated the 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by commemorating Parakram Divas with the legendary freedom fighter that imbued the freedom and patriotic spirit into every heart. The program was conducted by the Assam Linguistic Minorities Development Board with the help of the Bangali Parishad Assam as a tribute to the lasting impact of Netaji’s leadership in the nation's fight for independence.
This day was not just celebrated in Dibrugarh but in the entire state of Assam and the country where people came out to pay tributes to one of the most celebrated leaders of India’s freedom.
It is worth mentioning that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is a prominent figure in India’s freedom struggle and is well noted for the fierce battle against colonialism. He was a man of great valor and took an uncoventional approach by pushing for the Indian National Army (INA) to rise against the Britishers instead of the traditional peaceful non-cooperation methods employed by many leaders at the time.
His strong words “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom” remain a powerful statement and a representation of the enduring aspect of Netaji’s spirit.
The events included speeches, cultural programs, and interactions which underlined the strong commitment and dreams of Bose for a free India.
