37 secondary model schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas to be opened on July 19

GUWAHATI: The Education Department will open 37 new secondary schools in the month of July. Among the 37 such schools, there are 19 Tea Garden Model Schools under SEBA (Board of Secondary Education) and 18 Adarsha Vidyalayas under CBSE (the Central Board of Secondary Education). There are six tea garden schools situated in the Tinsukia district, six in the Sonitpur district, two in the Dibrugarh district, two in the Lakhimpur district, and one each in the Dhubri and the Karbi Anglong districts. Likewise, among the 18 Adarsha Vidyalayas, there are four each in Kamrup and Karbi Anglong, and one each in Goalpara, Barpeta, Tinsukia, West Karbi Anglong, Charaideo, Lakhimpur, Cachar, Sivsagar, Sonitpur, and Kamrup (M) districts.

In a tweet, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said that these 37 new secondary schools will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Cabinet colleagues on July 19 and 20.

The 18 Adarsha Vidyalayas are: Adarsha Vidyalaya Lakhipur in the Goalpara District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Gobardhana in the Barpeta District; AdarshaVidyalaya Itakhuli in the Tinsukia District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Lumbajong in the Karbi Anglong District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Nilip in the Karbi Anglong District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Chinthong in the Karbi Anglong District; AdarshaVidyalaya Rongmongve in the Karbi Anglong District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Socheng in the West Karbi Anglong District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Jalukbari in the Kamrup district; Adarsha Vidyalaya Kamalpur in the Kamrup district; Adarsha Vidyalaya Hajo in the Kamrup district; Adarsha Vidyalaya Chaygaon in the Kamrup district; Adarsha Vidyalaya Mahmara in the Charaideo District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Ghilamara in the Lakhimpur District; Adarsha Vidyalaya Dewan TE in the Cachar district; Adarsha Vidyalaya Demow in the Sivasagar District; Adarsha Vidyalyaya Jamuguri in the Sonitpur District and Adarsha Vidyalyaya, Pub-Guwahati in the Kamrup(M) district.

Similarly, the 19 Tea Garden Model Schools are: Dhubri Chapar T.E. Model School in Dhubri District; Romai TE Model School in Dibrugarh; Bhitorchabua TE Model School in Dibrugarh; Nahartali T.E Model School in Dibrugarh; Lengree T.E Model School in Karbi Anglong; Madhupur T.E. Model School in Lakhimpur; Ananda T.E. Model School in Lakhimpur; Ketela T.E. Model School in Sonitpur; Jingia T.E. Model School in Sonitpur; Pabhoi T.E. Model School in Sonitpur; Arun T.E. Model School in Sonitpur; Sonabeel T.E. Model School in Sonitpur; Adabari T.E. Model School in Sonitpur; Powai T.E. Model School in Tinsukia; Balijan T.E. Model School in Tinsukia; Sukanpukhuri T.E. Model School in Tinsukia; Chandmari T.E. Model School in Tinsukia; Margherita T.E. Model School in Tinsukia; Hatimara T.E. Model School in Tinsukia.
