GUWAHATI: The following traffic advisory is issued for the convenience of road users during the filing of nomination by various candidates for the Assam Legislative Assembly Elections, 2021 on 18. and 19. March 2021 at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M).

I) Diversion'

1. The vehicles coming from Chandmari side towards Jalukbari are advised to move via GNB road, District Library and RBI side towards Panbazar fly-over and towards AT road.

2. The vehicles coming from the Ulubari side towards Jalukbari can move via AT road.

3. Some vehicles coming from Paltanbazar side towards Bharalumukh side can move via MLN road, Panbazar Police Point and HB road.

4. The vehicles coming from the Jalukbari side towards Chandmari, Noonmati and Dispur side are advised to move via Apollo point and move towards HB road and onto AT road.

5. The vehicles coming from Uzan Bazar and Kharghuli towards Panbazar can move via Taibullah road, GNB road, RBI point towards AT road or via MLN road and HB road towards Bharalumukh.

2) No - Parking; The following routes/points have been earmarked as a No-parking zone.

1) HB road

2) MLN road

3) MG road

4) B. Barooah road

5) MC road

6) FC road

7) GNB road

The following GMC lessee parking will be a No-parking zone on 18. & 19th March 2021.

I) Parking in-front of Police Reserve, Panbazar.

2) Church Parking, (near Khubchand point)

3) Kamarpatty Masjid parking.

4) BSNL parking.

5) Cotton Collegiate HS school parking.

The vehicles of supporters of candidates who come to file nomination will be parked at the following earmark places:

1) Lachit Ghat parking

2) On both side of the road from Kalipur to Bhootnath.

3) TC Point Rotary (Kamrup Academy side)

4) Apollo point to Phulbagan BRP road crossing (north side). 

Meanwhile, 2 (two) WhatsApp numbers and a Facebook page have been opened by Guwahati Traffic Police, Police Commissionerate, Guwahati to be used by the commuters to send posts with photograph/video, etc about traffic violators, complaints, information on traffic congestion, non-functioning of traffic police personnel on traffic point and any such suggestion which may help in the improvement of traffic management.
