GUWAHATI: All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) State unit president Ripun Borah has criticized Cabinet Minister Sanjay Kishan for tendering an apology to the ULFA-I after making some adverse comments against the outfit. Borah has demanded that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma should oust the minister from the Cabinet and send him to jail for tendering an apology to a banned outfit.

Addressing a press conference at the party office at Khanapara here on Sunday, Borah alleged that if a common person makes any comment on the ULFA then he or she is immediately booked. He questioned as to why the Minister has not been booked for allegedly compromising the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India before the ULFA-I.

He further accused the Chief Minister of keeping mum on the issue. Borah further alleged that the apology by a Minister can induce more youths to join the banned outfit and, therefore, strong action should be taken against Sanjay Kishan.
