Akhil Hindi Bhasi Vikash Parishad stages protest in Dispur Last Gate

GUWAHATI: The workers of Akhil Hindi Bhasi Vikash Parishad (AHBVP) staged a demonstration over a slew of demands, in Dispur Last Gate on Saturday.

The body demanded an autonomous council for all-round development of the Hindi speaking people and also the appointment of a member in the linguistic minority board.

Akhil Hindi Bhasi Vikash Parishad stated that the regulation of the SC/OBC caste certificate has stopped and thus, it urged the government to continue the issuing process. Further, the body demanded separate funds and land patta in various parts of the state. Later, AHBVP submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to address their grievances.
