Guwahati: Alcheringa, the prestigious annual cultural festival of IIT Guwahati, is set to host its 29th edition from January 30 to February 2, 2025. Over the years, the festival has grown into a massive cultural extravaganza, attracting 140,000 attendees and participants from over 550 colleges across India. Known for its electrifying rock performances, enchanting classical shows, fashion events, quizzes, and high-energy DJ nights, Alcheringa has become a nationally recognised brand. The festival has previously featured some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Armaan Malik, Vishal-Shekhar, Mika Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Amaal Mallik, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, KK, Sonu Nigam, and Vir Das, alongside international acts like Orphaned Land, Eluveitie, and Charles B. Sulabh Napit, Head of Media and Outreach for Alcheringa 2025, promises an unforgettable experience this year, bringing together cultures and creativity like never before. As anticipation builds, attendees can look forward to four days of artistic brilliance and cultural diversity at IIT Guwahati.
