Another person held in a Pre-Matric Scholarship scam in Goalpara

GUWAHATI: Another person in connection to the 'Pre-Matric Scholarship Fund' case was arrested by the CID (Crime Investigation Department) sleuths on Tuesday. The accused, Abdul Razzak of Dharmapur is the principal of Uttar Dharmapur Jatiya Vidyalaya, Dharmapur. He was produced before the court and was granted police remand for four days.

Another accused - Abdul Kader of Borpathar village, was arrested from Rongjuli Police Station area in Goalpara on Monday. The Court has granted him 4-day police remand. With these, total arrests in connection with the case (20/2020 U/S 120B/406/409/419/420/468/471 IPC) now stands at 29.
