GUWAHATI: In favour of the fulfillment of the various demands of teachers of the State, the Asom Rajyik Prathmik Shikshak Sanmilani has decided to stage protests at both the State as well as the national level.
The various demands of the Sanmilani includes: scrapping of the new pension policy, regularization of the contractual teachers without condition, cancellation of the anti-teacher clauses included in the New Education Policy and the School Education Act 2019, release of grade pay of headmasters and graduate teachers as per the VII pay commission, provincialisation of venture schools, etc.
The Sanmilani will first start their protest on November 30 at the educational block level. On December 23, the will stage protest in front of DC office at the district level and on January 20, a Statewide protest will be held. On January 21, a ‘Dispur Chalo’ programme will be undertaken.
The Sanmilani will move to the national capital and will protest from February 21 to 26 and will also be supported by a team of Akhil Bharatio Prathmik Shikshak Sangha. On February 27, the Sanmilani has planned a Parliamentary protest.
