GUWAHATI: The CTC tea produced by BLF (Bought Leaf Factories) of the Lakhimpur district fetched the highest average price of Rs 185.71 per kg at the auction in January 2025 among the BLFs of Assam. This has been reflected in the district-wise average tea prices fetched by BLF factories for January 2025 published by the Tea Board of India.
According to the Tea Board report, coming next to the BLFs of Lakhimpur are Sivasagar with Rs 156.15 per kg and Dibrugarh with Rs 156.05 per kg.
The average prices of CTC tea produced by BLFs of other districts are Rs 138.10 per kg in Biswanath Chariali, Rs 151.13 in Bongaigaon, Rs 147.64 in Cachar, Rs 153.91 in Darrang, Rs 146.03 in Dhubri, Rs 130.03 in Goalpara, Rs 131.18 in Golaghat, Rs 142.63 in Jorhat, Rs 137.19 in Karbi Anglong, Rs 123.23 in Kokrajhar, Rs 133.36 in Nagaon, Rs 137.78 in Sonitpur, Rs 135.03 in Tinsukia, and Rs 140.25 in Udanguri.
According to the report, the BLFs of two districts of Arunachal Pradesh fetched Rs 126.96 per kg in Changlang and Rs 119.13 per kg in West Siang.
