Assam Cabinet Panel Reviews Preparations of Golap Borbora Centenary

Guwahati: A crucial meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee formed to oversee the state-level celebration of the birth centenary of former Assam Chief Minister Late Golap Borbora was held on Monday at Janata Bhawan. The meeting took place in the office chamber of Panchayat & Rural Development and General Administration Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass.

Finance Minister Ajanta Neog and Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, both members of the Sub-Committee, participated in the discussions, which focused on finalizing preparations for the centenary event scheduled for August 29 in Guwahati.

Key components discussed included event management, the publication of a commemorative souvenir, production of a documentary on the life and legacy of Late Golap Borbora, publicity strategies, and invitation protocols. The General Administration Department has been tasked with ensuring seamless coordination for the event. A comprehensive report on the preparations will be submitted to the Chief Minister shortly.
