BOKO: Development schemes have been started in various council constituencies by the funds from the financial year 2024-25 of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC).

It is to be mentioned that Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma recently declared that the RHAC election will be held in the upcoming March month before the Rongali Bihu.

Therefore, to develop the villages under the RHAC, councillors have started new schemes in various villages which include development of a football playground including iron posts in 2 No. Jarapara-Kacharipara Village under 27 No. Boko Council Constituency (CC) started by Sumit Rabha, Executive Councillor of RHAC.

During the opening of the development work, Sumit Rabha said, "We have started several development works in various villages under the Boko Council Constituency by the funds from the financial year 2024-25 of RHAC. As the RHAC elections are scheduled to be held in March, the development schemes have been launched since February 2 to ensure that the schemes can continue to work despite the election process."

"We got the council in the year of 2013 and from then we are constantly trying to solve people's problems and various needs through the funds of RHAC. Though we have solved various needs and problems, we still have much development work to do in the villages under the RHAC area," added Rabha.

Meanwhile, Arjun Chetry, General Councillor of the Jongakhuli CC, emphasized that after India's independence, the villages in this region did not develop as much. However since 2013, many development schemes have been implemented in these villages through the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.

In parallel with Boko CC, Chetry started several schemes by the funds from the financial year 2024-25 of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC), which include Maitri Janajatiya Mahila Committee office boundary wall and gate and many other development works in various villages under Jongakhuli CC.

Ankur Kakoti, Organising Secretary of All Rabha Students' Union (ARSU) Kamrup District, Sujit Rabha, President, and Dibya Rabha, Secretary of the ARSU Boko Regional Committee, and many other dignitaries and local villagers took part in the programmes.
