Assam: DGP GP Singh Recognizes STF Team for Exceptional Performance

GUWAHATI: The Director-General of Police, Assam, GP Singh, congratulated STF team for their outstanding performance in conducting 150 successful operations across the state since March 2023. The STF team has made a significant impact, arresting 238 individuals, including 197 males and 41 females.

The team’s relentless efforts, under the able leadership of Inspector Kapil Pathak, have yielded remarkable results. The recoveries include approximately 6.5 kg of heroin, 4000 kg of ganja, 1 kg of methamphetamine, 23.081 kg of fake gold, and counterfeit currency with a face value of Rs. 50,41,000. The team also seized various other items, including seven FICN printing machines, 14 TB 30 batteries used in drones, a rhino horn weighing 714 grams; Rs. 8,20,185 in cash, 31 vehicles, 162 mobile phones, two pistols (lighter), and 120 SPM-PRX PLUS tablets.

The operational team of STF Assam, led by Inspector Kapil Pathak, includes Inspector Kuleshjyoti Bhuyan, SI Th Chinglen Singha, HC Dipak Kakati, UBC Raja Singh, UBC Kashi Tamuli, WPC Dulumoni Das, WPC Karabi Das, and LNK Debojit Rabha.

DGP on Wednesday urged the team to continue their good work in detecting illegal goods and apprehending criminals and anti-socials.
