
GUWAHATI: In a significant move to tackle unemployment, the Employers’ Conclave 2025, organized by the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam, emphasized the vital role of Employment Exchanges in managing employment opportunities for the state’s educated youth. The event, held at the Greenwood Resort in Guwahati, brought together senior officials from over 80 reputable private establishments, including Radisson Blue, ITC, and Emami.
A panel discussion, moderated by Joint Secretary and Registrar, Assam Skill University Hanif Nurani, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts between the private sector and the Government of Assam to address the challenges of unemployment. Secretary, Kasturi Bharali was also present at the event.
As part of the programme, offer letters were distributed to selected candidates by ITC, SBL Biscuit, and Pentaloons through mini recruitment drives organized by the District Employment Exchange Guwahati. This initiative demonstrates the Employment Exchanges’ potential to facilitate employment opportunities for the state’s youth, stated a press release.
