Assam gets 6 new IPS (Indian Police Service) officers

The Government of India had allotted 13 IPS (Indian Police Service) officers the 2021 batch in the Assam-Meghalaya joint cadre.

GUWAHATI: The Government of India had allotted 13 IPS (Indian Police Service) officers the 2021 batch in the Assam-Meghalaya joint cadre. Out of these 13 officers, 6 IPS officers have been allotted to the Assam wing to fill up the vacancies in the Junior Duty Posts.

The State and Home Department has issued a notification in this regard. The 6 IPS officers who have been allotted to the Assam wing are - Nitisha Sanjay Jagtap, Desai Tushar Uttam, Rajat Kumar Pal, Atul Kumar, MahatoAmitkumarSidhiprasad and Aman Prakash Meena.

The remaining 6 IPS officers have been allotted to the Meghalaya wing while one officer has resigned from the IPS to join the IAS on the basis of CSE, 2021.
