Assam Government Reconstitutes Committee for 'Assamese Unicode Script'

GUWAHATI: The Assam Government reconstituted a committee for ‘Preparations of Revised Proposal of Separate Code Chart for Assamese Script’.

The members of the committee are the Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) president, Dr. Sikhar Kumar Sarma of GU, retired IFS officer MK Yadava, Dr. Satyakam of UNICODE, Dr. Dilip Kumar Kalita, Azizul Haque, Dr. Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Ambeswar Gogoi, Dr. Upen Rabha Hakacham, Dr. Ramesh Pathak, Dr. Dayananda Pathak, Dwipen Kalita from Amtron, and Pankaj Jyoti Hazarika.

Meanwhile, the inclusion of Dr. Ramesh Pathak in the committee courted controversy, as he had passed away in 2021.
