GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Thursday administered the oath of office to Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury as the State Chief Information Commissioner at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan.

Chief Secretary Ravi Kota sought the Governor’s permission to commence the proceedings of the oath-taking ceremony.

The function was attended by State Information Commissioners Dr Reep Hazarika and Utpal Baruah, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor S S Meenakshi Sundara, Commissioner and Secretary of the ARTPPG Department Dr Patibandla Ashok Babu, and other senior government officials, a press release said.
