Assam Governor forms probe panel into minor's death

GUWAHATI: The Governor of Assam has constituted a One Man Enquiry Committee headed by Central Assam Division Commissioner Moloy Bora to enquire into the death of a 12-year-old domestic helper named Sonali Ronghangpi in the house of Prakash Borthakur of Raha.

The committee will ascertain the facts and circumstances leading to the death of the minor, who hailed from Karbi Anglong.

It will also suggest measures for the regulation of possible violent protests causing loss of life and public property. The enquiry report is to be submitted within 30 days from the date of issue of this notification.
