GUWAHATI: Guwahati city police have successfully arrested three suspects connected to a recent burglary at a showroom in Beharbari, along with the person who received the stolen goods.
This comes after a quick investigation that was launched after the robbery was reported last week.

According to the complaint, Asif described how some unknown individuals entered his showroom forcefully by breaking several locks and carrying away various pieces of household items. The matter was also reported through an emergency call on the 112-helpline number.
Police, in turn, filed a case and began an immediate probe. One of the important elements of the investigation was to scrutinize Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage around the area that led to identifying three suspects from the Sijubari area under the jurisdiction of the Hatigaon Police Station.
The arrested persons, 18-year-old Habijur Ali and 20-year-olds Suksan Ali and Sanidul Ali, were found in possession of burglary tools such as an iron rod and wrenches. Under interrogation, they admitted to their part in the Beharbari theft and revealed that they had sold the stolen property to a scrap yard in Dot Bazar.
Taking this cue, police launched a search operation that led to the recovery of several stolen items, such as grinder machines, brass items, and a Pulsar 125cc motorbike. Besides, Rafique Ali, who is 35 years old and a resident of Sontoli, was named as the receiver of the stolen goods.
