Guwahati: Daylight burglary, cash looted at Hengrabari in city

Guwahati: In a daylight robbery, unidentified miscreants stole several lakhs of rupees from a parked WagonR in Hengrabari, Guwahati. The incident took place near the office of the District Commissioner, in the parking area of Amrit Udyan. According to reports, the miscreants broke the car’s window and fled with the cash before anyone could intervene. The looted vehicle, bearing registration number AS 01 FX 0186, was parked in a seemingly secure area when the theft occurred. Upon receiving the complaint, Dispur Police reached the spot and began investigating the case. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to identify the culprits. Further details are awaited.
