GUWAHATI: A team of officers from the Crime Branch of Guwahati Police reached Mumbai on Wednesday to investigate five popular YouTubers, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Samay Raina, over their alleged involvement in promoting obscenity and engaging in vulgar discussions for an online show named "India's Got Latent." The Guwahati Crime Branch had registered a case against the five social media influencers, also including Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija, after their controversial remarks sparked widespread outrage.
The investigation team will look into the allegations of promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit discussions on the show "India's Got Latent," which has since been taken down from YouTube. The five YouTubers have been accused of making derogatory and vulgar comments, sparking a massive controversy and prompting the Guwahati Police to take action. According to police, the police team will serve notice, and the YouTubers will have to appear before Guwahati Police according to the time period given.
