Guwahati: A team from the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) attached to Sonapur Police Station rescued a 72-year-old homeless man, identified as BK Chanda, from the New Market area in Sonapur on Tuesday. Chanda, whose address remains unknown, was found loitering in a disoriented state. The police ensured he received immediate assistance and later facilitated his admission to a local old-age home, where he has now been provided with care, shelter, and accommodation.
