Assam Pradeshik Mahila Samiti felicitated Hiranya Borah for his award-winning book 'Chandraprabha: The Iron lady of Assam'

GUWAHATI: Assam Pradeshik Mahila Samiti on Friday felicitated Hiranya Borah, a senior official of the Jal Shakti Department, for his award-winning book 'Chandraprabha: The Iron lady of Assam', which is a biography of Late Chandraprabha Saikiani.

Speaking at a function held at the Chandraprabha Bhawan here on Friday, Borah said that he took pride in writing about such a great lady in English because it gave exposure to her life and deeds to a bigger readership.
