GUWAHATI: The second phase of Gunotsav-2025 will be held from January 17 to 22 in 14 districts in the state.
The districts are Baksa, Charaideo, Chirang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup (Metro), Sonitpur, Tamulpur, Tinsukia, and West Karbi Anglong, where the self-evaluation will be from January 17 and the external evaluation will be from January 20 to 22. A total of 15,663 schools, including government schools, provincialised schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, tea garden model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, and tea garden management schools, and 14,14,932 students from classes I to IX will be covered in this phase of Gunotsav 2025. A total of 6,253 external evaluators will take part in this phase of evaluation.
Phase 1 of Gunotsav-2025 has been successfully completed on January 9. It was held from January 6 in 11 districts—Barpeta, Bajali, Sribhumi, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara-Mankachar, and Udalguri. A total of 1,331,997 students from classes I to IX of 15,072 schools, including government schools, provincialised schools, adarsha vidyalayas, tea garden model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, and tea garden management schools, were evaluated by 16,160 external evaluators in the exercise.
The third and final phase of Gunotsav will be from February 4-7 in ten districts.
