Assam: State BJP leaders and cadres listen to ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh, today reported an overwhelming and spirited participation across the state during the 123rd edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship address, “Mann Ki Baat”.

According to a communiqué issued from the BJP State Headquarters at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, the programme was attentively followed by lakhs of party workers across 29,565 booths, under 433 Mandals, encompassing all 39 organisational districts of Assam.

In conjunction with the high-spirited zeal towards organisational ethics and discipline, State BJP president and Member of Parliament Dilip Saikia, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, national secretary Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, ministers of the Assam government, along with all BJP Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, state- and district-level officials, as well as all grassroots workers, tuned in to “Mann Ki Baat” at their designated booths.

Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma attended and listened to the broadcast at Booth No. 38 under the Bimankoth Mandal in the Jalukbari Legislative Assembly constituency. State party president Dilip Saikia participated at Booth No. 35 under the Tamulpur Assembly constituency, while Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was present at Booth No. 59 of the Itakhuli Mandal in Tinsukia to listen to the address.
