Assam: Work with dedication, appeals Dilip Saikia to party leaders and cadres

GUWAHATI: On his first day in the office at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan here today, newly elected state BJP president Dilip Saikia appealed to all party leaders and cadres of the state to dedicate themselves to ensuring a secured Assam—by protecting its nationality, land, and foundation.

Saikia received a warm reception from thousands of party ministers, MLAs, leaders, and workers in the party office earlier in the day. He made his appeal to all party leaders and cadres to work with dedication for the betterment of the state and its people.

From January 19, Saikia will tour the districts of the state to attend a whole lot of party programmes. He will listen to the Mann Ki Baat programme of the Prime Minister at No. 143 booth at Barpeta Road from 11 am on January 19. He will take part in the ‘Sanbidhan Gaurav Divas’ programme organised by the Barpeta district committee of the party on the same day. In the evening, he will go to Akhara Chowk in the Nalbari district and take part in a ‘Sabhamohotsav.’ He will then leave for a programme at Goreswar in the Kamalpur LAC.
