
Bapi Paul, a young popular citizen of Noonmati, Guwahati, left for his heavenly abode on February 8, 2025, at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. Late Paul was born on February 12, 1982, at Guwahati and had his education at Holy Child, Hindustani Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Dispur Commerce College. He was a popular young sportsman with a knack for cricket. During his school and college days, he participated in many tournaments of cricket and brought laurels to the institutions. After completion of his education, he joined his father's pharmaceutical business. He, being the only son of his father, had to take the responsibility of the family as his father died at a very young age, for which he had to give up sports.
Late Paul was actively associated with other social organizations of the Noonmati area, which include the Durga Puja Committee, Bihu, etc. He was very helpful to the poor and needy. In spite of his limited resources, he never hesitated to help needy people. He was just not a humble person, but he was an incredible one. On February 6, 2025, he suffered a brain stroke and was admitted to Gauhati.
Medical College and Hospital, but all efforts of the doctors were left in vain. His selflessness, kindness, and love continue to inspire many others who have known him. Although he always played various sports, he had a passion for cricket.
He was very friendly with all the young sportsmen and used to inspire them to participate in various sports. During his treatment, a large number of well-wishers visited the hospital, and his death news cast a pall of gloom.
Late Paul was a dutiful son, husband, and loving father. His sudden death has created a vacuum that is not easy to fill up. On the arrival of his body at his house, a large number of well-wishers visited his house and paid homage to his departed soul. He was 42, survived his mother, wife, and daughter. His death was condoled by a local organization and the funeral was largely attended. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the values he instilled continue to guide those who had the pleasure to play with him.
