Basistha Police Apprehended Cyber Criminals At hotel Nakshatra in Beltola

GUWAHATI: A raid was conducted jointly by Basistha police and crime branch at hotel Nakshatra in Beltola on Thursday. Five cyber criminals were caught from room number 607 of the hotel. A huge number of ATM cards, check books and a checque of rupees one crore were recovered from the room. The accused Akash Sharma, 25, from Delhi, Somarendeu Brahma, 29, from Kokrajhar, Prafulla Nun, 28, from Maharashtra, Sunil Baglary, 38, from Udalguri and Mehraj Ahmed Laskar, 36, from Cachar were taken into custody. A case (1719/19 U/S 120 B/ 406/ 420/ 467/471 IPC) has been registered against them.
