Cab driver commits suicide in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A cab driver named Utpal Gohain committed suicide at his rented house in the city on Saturday night. Gohain's body was taken to the Basistha Police Station by some other cab drivers. They also staged a protest against Ola-Uber cab service providers. According to police sources, Gohain, who hailed from the Sivasagar district, is suspected to have committed suicide due to financial difficulties. He is survived by his wife and son.
