Case lodged against contractor at Dispur Police Station for pointing gun

GUWAHATI: A contractor named Jayanta Hazarika has lodged a complaint at Dispur Police Station that he was threatened by another contractor with a gun at the NHM (National Health Mission) office in Guwahati on Monday.

According to the FIR, Hazarika had given Rs 3 lakh to contractor Gautam Kataki three years ago. Hazarika stated in the FIR that he had not met Kataki for a long time. After seeing Kataki at the NHM office, Hazarika confronted him demanding the money following which the former pointed a gun at him, the FIR stated.

Meanwhile, Kataki also lodged an FIR at the Dispur PS alleging that Hazarika forcefully tried to snatch the former's licensed pistol.
