Central Guwahati Police District busts counterfeit note racket in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The CGPD (Central Guwahati Police District) busted a racket that mints counterfeit notes in various places in Guwahati on Friday. The police also seized various machines, including printing devices that mint counterfeit notes.

The police conducted a raid and nabbed three suspects with computer cartridges used for minting counterfeit notes in their possession. They have been identified as Tarun Das and Amit Das of PP Road, Rehabari, and Vijay Pareikh of Paltanbazar. They were immediately arrested.
