Chandmari Police recovered three bags full of money

GUWAHATI: The Chandmari Police has recovered three plastic bags with notes and coins of different denominations from the Bhaskarnagar area here on Sunday.

In this connection, later in the night, the police arrested a person named Sahil Ali alias Ashraful Ali. The police stated that they are counting the amount and are grilling Ashraful Ali.

Meanwhile, a person from Mothers Old Age Home named Prashant Kumar Baruah has claimed that the money belongs to him. Baruah stated that he had collected the money as donation from various people when he was living outside the old age home. The further investigation is on.
