Death anniversary of Abhi-Neel observed at Smriti Raksha Samittee, Silpukhuri

GUWAHATI: The heart rendering incident of the lynching of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das at Panjuri Kachari, Karbi Anglong over a rumor has turned a year old. The entire state was jostled over the horrific incident when the two talented youths, who were out enjoying a peaceful day at Kangthilangso waterfall, were brutally murdered over claims that the two were Hopa Dhora (child lifters). The viral clip of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das still haunts as the family members as well as the state awaits justice.

The first year death memorial of Abhi-Neel was observed on Saturday at Smriti Raksha Samittee, Sil Pukhuri in a Rajohua Naamghar. Family members, friends and crowds in large numbers gathered to pay their respect to the departed souls.
