Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu chairs meeting on irrigation schemes

GUWAHATI: Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu on Friday chaired a meeting of the vigilance committee which has been constituted to accelerate the schemes under the Irrigation Department.

Earlier, the State government had directed the district administrations to form a vigilance committee given accelerating the irrigation schemes.

The meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall was attended by Dispur MLA Atul Bora, Kamrup Metro Development Commissioner Nibedan Das Patowary, and officers from the Agriculture and Power departments.

During the meeting, discussions were held on various schemes and grievances of the public.

"I along with the DC and Development Commissioner will review the implementation of various schemes by visiting West Uluwoni, Domora Pothar at Sonapur, and Malaibari. I will also discuss the grievances of the public during the visit," said Bora.
