Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) asks higher educational institutions to submit budget proposals

GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Assam has invited proposals for funding for the 2023-24 session from the institutions of higher education in the State. The notification has been directed to all universities, colleges, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalayas and the deputy director for Sanskrit Education.

The notification mentioned that any requirement for additional funds for the year 2023-24 has to be submitted in the prescribed format within May 6. It also mentioned that the failure to submit the same within the mentioned date will lead to the non-release of the additional funds. The notification also called for the return of any access funding received during the previous year.

Previously, the department had called for the submission of the utilization certificates and the expenditure reports for the funding received in the previous session and failure to submit the same will lead to a halt in granting financial assistance to the institutions.
