Disaster management training held at Zonal Railway Training Institute, Alipurduar

GUWAHATI: A tabletop discussion on disaster management training was held at the (ZRTI) Zonal Railway Training Institute at Alipurduar Jn yesterday. The disaster management plan of the division was discussed in the presence of all stakeholders. Principal Chief Safety Officer of N.F. Railway M.K. Agarwal along with other senior officials was also present during the discussion. An interactive session was also held on the occasion and the role of the instant action team was discussed. The role and duties of front line railway staff like, Loco Pilot, Asst. Loco Pilot, Guard, Train Conductor, Train Superintendent, Coach attendant, AC mechanic, RPF, Station Master, Traffic Inspector, Welfare Inspector, etc were deliberated upon during the interactive session. The role of different departments like, civil, mechanical, electrical, signal and telecom, etc during any disaster were discussed upon during the interactive session.
